Law Firms

Holland PR works with leading English and Scottish law firms. In the eight years since one north east based law firm employed Holland PR the practice has grown from a single site firm to a national quality practice with three offices. Holland PR is retained to carry out PR for London, Leeds and Newcastle, including media relations regionally and nationally. Christine Holland also wrote two weekly columns bylined by partners for eight years, newsletters, detailed legal submissions and awards applications.


Creating new interest from business press in Beamish The North of England Open Air Museum as a successful company carrying out bold moves and far-reaching plans. The campaign involved media relations, exhibitions, public consultations, business newsletter and VIP briefings.

International Centre for Life

Holland PR & Marketing worked with the International Centre for Life during its first, vital year, during which the Bioscience Centre and the Institute of Genetics had to be introduced and explained to a wary audience. It also handled the launch of the Life Centre visitor attraction, which was hailed as a runaway success, helping to hit target visitor numbers from the first day.

Newcastle Quayside

Holland PR led media relations for Newcastle Quayside and other major developments while working for Tyne and Wear Development Corporation, and was instrumental in turning opinion round from negative disinterest in formerly derelict areas to active take-up of buildings by excellent occupiers, and pride from local people.

Complement Genomics

Complement Genomics, a small biotechnology company in Sunderland used Holland PR to launch a paternity testing service. The resulting publicity went worldwide. It included, in this country, national BBC, ITV and local TV and radio; ‘Richard and Judy’, Independent, Daily Express, ‘Esther’, Italian, Spanish, American, German and Australian press and all regional media. The publicity from the initial story continued for well over six months. There was no other advertising or literature involved.

Shoppers’ Rights

A media campaign for the Office of Fair Trading resulted in consumer awareness of their rights increasing from 18% to 44% in Tyne and Wear as a direct result of the public relations work carried out by Christine Holland.


Holland PR has worked closely with the region’s universities. Christine Holland directed ‘Services to Business’ for the north of England which promoted knowledge transfer between higher and further education and regional companies. She also initiated the marketing and promotional strategy and material for ‘Study North East England’, the first and highly successful joint project by all five north east universities to overseas markets.

Property and Construction sectors

Holland PR was chosen by Red Box Developments to launch its Newcastle headquarters and the Stamp Exchange office development, the International Centre for Life to launch the Life Centre, and Durham City Council to launch the Millennium City scheme. Construction-sector clients have included Bowey Construction, Vico Developments, Metnor Group, Cussins Homes and Mowlem. Separately carried out PR for Farrell Architects, London.
